Cinema Camp
Marymount College
Rancho Palos Verdes, California

New winter dates added!

This exciting program introduces participants to the process of creating a short film!

You’ll study cinema production at Marymount College right next door to Hollywood, the center of the world’s entertainment industry. Movie professionals teach students how to write a short screenplay and draw storyboards detailing each shot of the movie. Participants will also learn basic camera moves and improve their skills and composition through fieldwork.

After completing the shoot, students will help edit and add effects to their film. At the end of the program, you’ll present their work to other students in a movie showcase. You’ll also experience a behind the scenes look at movie making with visits to movie studios, a make-up school and a special effects studio. You can add even more excitement with our optional visit to Universal Studios, where you’ll enter a whole world of movie making!

Finally, you’ll enjoy a tour of Hollywood and may even see a movie star shopping at the famous Hollywood & Highland complex - site of the Academy Awards!
